About This Site
Casino Odds Insider was built on one premise — the numbers that govern casino games are knowable, exact and should be publicly available to anyone who wants them.
Who We Are
Casino Odds Insider is an independent casino mathematics resource. Every house edge figure published here is calculated from exact combinatorial analysis — not borrowed from other websites, not derived from simulation, and not rounded to the nearest convenient number.
The casino gaming industry publishes very little mathematical information for players. House edge figures when they appear at all are often imprecise, poorly sourced or calculated under rule assumptions that do not match the games players actually encounter. This site was built to change that — one game at a time, with exact figures and clear explanations of where every number comes from.
The author is an independent casino game inventor currently in casino placement discussions for a new patented table card game called Beat the Dealer. The mathematical analysis work done for that game — exact combinatorial enumeration of all possible outcomes from a six-deck shoe — is the same methodology applied throughout this site. When this site publishes a house edge of 2.2728% on a specific bet, that figure comes from counting every possible card combination, not from an estimate.
Creator of Beat the Dealer — a new patented casino table card game with a dual mandatory independent bet structure. Provisional patent filed with the USPTO. Currently in placement discussions with casino operators.
All house edge figures calculated by enumerating every possible outcome from verified deck configurations. A 6-deck shoe has 48,516 two-card combinations — we count all of them, every time.
This site recommends the bets with the best odds — not the games that pay referral commissions. The baccarat banker bet at 1.06% gets the same honest treatment as keno at 35%.
Casino Odds Insider does not accept advertising from casinos or gaming operators. Editorial independence is the foundation of honest odds analysis.
Our Approach
The formula behind every house edge figure on this site is expected value — the sum of all possible outcomes weighted by their probability. For card games this means enumerating every possible combination of cards from a specified shoe configuration and counting wins, losses and pushes explicitly.
For a two-card player hand from a six-deck shoe there are C(312,2) = 48,516 possible combinations. For a four-card deal — player and dealer — there are C(312,4) = 387,278,970 combinations. For the Dealer Bet in Beat the Dealer we evaluated all 9,294,695,280 ordered four-card deals to produce the exact house edge figures published on this site.
When exact enumeration is not feasible — as in some complex multi-decision games — we note the methodology used and the source. We do not present simulation figures as exact and we do not borrow figures from other sites without independent verification.
Questions about the mathematics, corrections to any figure on the site, or inquiries about Beat the Dealer casino placement are all welcome.
